If Jesus is God, then why in Mark 12:29 did Jesus say “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord.” The words “our God” indicate that Jesus had a higher God over him, a stronger God than him. Jesus didn't say “your God,” he said “our God” which includes Jesus as the creation of God.
This is really quite simple when you read the passage in context. Mark 12:28-30 mentions a scribe who approached Jesus and asked, “which commandment is the most important of all?” Jesus then replied, “The most important is, ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’”
It is important that here you pay attention to the punctuation that is displayed within the text. What Jesus is actually doing is reciting Deut. 6:4-5. The entire statement in question is a direct quotation from the sermons Moses delivered to Israel while the people were camped East of the Jordan River on the plains of Moab.
